It’s now 2017 and I haven’t updated half of 2016 because I procrastinated. It’s time to change that. This post is gonna contain a lot of pictures. Sadly I’m missing a lot cause I broke my phone at some point so most are from what Arlynna and friends that I collected.
These are from our trip to Kelowna B.C. This trip was incredible. The weather was amazing, everything was so beautiful/full of life, the food was great, and the time was too short. I was really excited to see what some of my friends call “home”. I’m really happy we we all got to experience this together. Everyone made the trip that much better. On with the pictures! They are in order of the days/events.
Day 1: We flew in to Vancouver, got the rental, then ripped the COQ to Kelowna. Also was introduced to Triple O’s on the way and got addicted to their chicken strips. Seriously the best chicken strips ever.
Day 2: We drove over to Peachland to ride tandem bikes and site see. At incredible Sushi and then finished the day with Ice Cream at this really nice hotel. Also these sunset pictures were taken at like 10:30pm
Day 3: Went to The Jammery and got incredible waffles that were covered in Strawberry Jam and Nutella. This elder lady asked to take a picture of my food so she could post it on facebook because she has friends that are “foodies” and she wanted to show it off hahahah it was funny and awkward. We then did some driving around to look at scenery which then followed with meeting up with Cali and Phil to go out on the OKANAGAN. After that we went to Oseki noodle house for A LOT of food hahaha
Day 4: Tried a local coffee place that wasn’t too bad, Drove around more, saw some wild life, ate pizza and more Triple O’s (I forgot to mention how many times I took us there because I wanted chicken strips) played mini gold on a real grass course whil Cali chirpped me, walked around downtown Kelowna at night, and finished the night getting hamburgers at Cactus Club as well as made fun of Steven for having a beer ahaha
Day 5: Arlynna had found this really good looking Italian place on yelp a little before the trip and it was reservation only since it’s rather small. So I want to say the day we got there we made a reservation for our last food day. It was REALLY good. We went back after to do some swimming in Peachland and fed some ducks. After we went and got freshened up and drove over to Kyles shop to check out some of the cars he had there. I wanted everything. That night Ryan had a small BBQ for us. Funny story. Like 2 hours before the BBQ we went and got some sushi cause we were really hungry and really want more sushi before leaving hahah. After we walked along the lake and got attacked by mosquitos.
Day 6: This was our final day. We had breakfast with Ryan and Rebecca pretty early before heading back to Vancouver. The entire drive I had one thing on my mind G MEN. I wanted it when we first got there but Cali wanted to ruin my day and said no we have a long drive. So I had it the last day instead hahah
That trip was amazing and day dream about it everyday. I can’t wait to go back.
The adventure that followed that was Arlynna and I’s weekend anniversary in San Fransisco.
We took the Z!
This was a quick stop we made to stretch our legs. It’s off HWY 154 at little after Santa Barbra.
Then I needed to pee so I figured I’d fill up.
Back on the road.
About an hour or so out I remembered about Pepper Lunch and really wanted to try it. So we made a stop!
We finally arrived to the AirBNB!
That night we planned to stay in to have a night to ourselves and make a nice dinner. We made some Shirmp Pesto Pasta and Asparagus. It came out great with some fruit punch in some wine glasses hahaha
The next morning we met up with Johnathan and Alexis for breakfast.
That followed with us doing some tourist stuff!
We went back to the airbnb for a nap then went UBER’d over to the heart of the city for some Golden Boys pizza. This was our first and worst uber experience hahaha
We finished that night with some boba and hangs.
Sunday we got up pretty early to take a drive up a nice mountain road to get to a place called Alices Cafe. It was super good and a great drive!
Then began the long drive back. It got really hot for a good amount of the trip which made it miserable but eventually we made our way to the coast and got to enjoy the ocean air.
That weekend was A LOT of fun. There was a decent amount I didn’t take pictures of for some odd reason. But it was such a nice weekend.
Around this time is when Sebastian turned a year old!
Arlynna was outside her work one day and noticed a kitten and turns out there were 5 of them near a big power supply on the side of the building. So we went and scooped them up to clean them up and try to get them new homes! Which is what we did and thankfully they all went to good friends so we have been able to watch them grow up!
I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t get attatched to them. Once they warmed up to us they were so adorable and cuddly. We are so happy they got good homes. But now I’m worried cause Arlynna has been feeding a cat by her work that she says looks pregnant haha
In October we spent the weekend on a farm in a treehouse in Filmore, CA. It was so cool! We got to pick a bunch of pomegranets, avocados, and oranges. There was a grill and small kitchen so we made food there and just relaxed all weekend.
There were some goats for us to feed as well as ducks and chickens running wildly around.
We were also accompanied by these two who followed us everywhere around the farm haha their names are Charlie and Spirit.
Here is the barn that was very well put together by Steve the owner of the property.
The amazing sunset.
On Sunday we checked out and went straight to Disneyland to meet with Chob and Geneveve. They had just got engaged that Friday and yours truely designed the ring for them. About half way through the day it randomly started to rain so we bought panchos.
For part of Arlynnas birthday gift I got us tickets to the Mickey’s Halloween Party. It was really cool how they decorated some stuff as well as the special firwork show and parade!
This was an older couple that was in front of us during the firework show. They were dressed up as the couple from UP and it was so damn adorable.
As I told you guys before my clutch went out which was really saddening since that was the biggest motive for the swap but it will still live on. On my wall.
One of the few Thanksgiving Dinners we had at Arlynna’s Tia’s house.
This was suppose to say “We ATE too much” hahaha
That same weekend we went up to Barstow to put in a deposit on this little guy who is now named Oskar. He was a gift for Arlynnas dad.
We went to look at Christmas lights as much as we could which sadly wasn’t enough.
Arlynnas favorite house.
Tried to Disney as much as we could but it was just too packed
A week or two before Christmas Moya, Steven, Arlynna, and I took a drive up to SF for the weekend! Funny story. Moya had just finished his SR swap the weekend before the trip. All cars did amazing and didn’t skip a beat!
The beginning of the drive up was pretty sketchy cause it was pouring rain and the cars were hydroplaning a decent amount. It set us back a decent amount but after we got through LA it cleared up and we were good to go!
Of course we stopped at Pepper Lunch on the way up.
After we ate we found a local car wash and rinsed off the cars. We made our way to the airbnb and then quick detailed the cars.
We got some rest once we settled in and then UBER’d in to the city for Pizza and adventure!
Saturday we drove across the bridge. I tried to take the boys to Hawk Hill but it was so packed.
That night Johnathan put together a small meet for us which was really cool and nice of him!
Sunday we got up, packed, and made our way up to alices cafe!
Met this really nice dude named Lawerence and he adviced that we make our way down to the coast and try this little coffee place. Which was an awesome suggestion.
That weekend and drive was amazing. The weather was perfect and made the drive so much better.
Christmas weekend came and it was amazing. We went and picked up Oskar and then surprised Arlynnas dad. It was so good haha
Arlynna got me the coolest gifts ever. I didn’t even know that BLITZ made a phone cover!!
As terrible as I am at mini golf I really enjoy playing it hahaha
Surprislingly we’ve been getting a lot of rain these last few weeks which is good and also hasn’t stopped me from driving the z everywhere.
Alyrnna being smiley as always hahaha
About two weeks ago I took a Saturday off so that way Arlynna and I could have a day to ourselves and go down to San Diego to try this Cheese place I had found on YELP. For those who don’t know. Arlynna is a big time cheese lover.
We also got had this really good Gelato place as well as tacos since we were already down there……. we kind of made it a food day hahahah
And now we are all up to date! I am not gonna let that happen again. This took me so long to put together and I feel like I skipped so much out. Here’s to a new year!
